Peanut Punch

Peanut Punch gives me instant nostalgia whenever I think of it. I remember being a young student dressed in mandatory uniform and just counting down the hours until school was over. Once that final bell rang my classmates and I would burst through those school gates to either board the school bus, wait for our ride to pick us up or begin our walk home in the hot Caribbean sun. The one thing that united us besides our excitement to finally go home was buying a fraco (fray-co) from the fraco man…While cherry and condensed milk hold a special place in my heart my favorite flavor, hands down, without a doubt is peanut punch.

Caribbean Inspired Chicken Soup

The following recipe is inspired by my mom’s chicken soup that she would make for my brothers and I growing up. I probably get my love of cooking from her and my grandmother as they are both AMAZING cooks. I have adjusted this recipe based on my taste and culinary experiences throughout the years. For example, I don’t recall my mother adding lime juice to her soup but I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine and have noticed how they incorporate sour flavors into their soups. It just adds a little something extra that I think makes this soup that much better.

One day while browsing Facebook I came across the group, The Black Simmer. This group was a Godsend! It was here that I learned about the world of custom content more formally known as CC and black sim creators. You can find CC for anything, literally. Some of my favorites include Xiamara’s Melanin Pack which includes 54 realistic skins tones, Ebonix who makes beautiful hairstyles including goddess braids with hair accessories, Pixelheaux who creates clutter and decor to make your game feel more realistic and of course a fellow Virgin Islands simmer, SkillfulSimmer340 who creates custom personality traits.
